Cedric McMillanwho in the year 2016 Arnold Classic finished second, is returning to the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus for the greatest win of his professional bodybuilding career.

Shawn Rhoden, who did not take part in competitions in Columbus in 2016, but took second place at the Olympics Phil Heath occupied, and rising superstar Dallas McCarver are among a range of 9 professional bodybuilders who battle at the 29th Annual Arnold Classic on March 4, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. Justin Compton, fourth in Columbus in 2016, is on stage again this year.

In the Arnold Classic 212, defending champion Hidetada Yamagishi and second in 2016 José Raymond lead a field of 10 professionals, which includes the total of six from the 2016 Arnold Classic 212. David Henrywho finished third in Columbus 2016 and Guy Cisternino , Fourth a year ago, will also fight while Kyong Won Kang (5th in 2016) and Charles Dixon (6th) will improve on last year's performances.

In the Fitness International, three-time defending champion Oksana Grishina and 2016 runner-up Whitney Jones run an ultra-competitive range of 15 that includes the top 5 finishers from the 2016 Fitness International. Grishina has become the dominant star of the sport, winning ten straight IFBB Pro League competitions.

In the Figur International is the defending champion Latorya Watts the heaviest favorite in a field of 15. Gennifer Strobo (3.), Candice Lewis-Carter (4.), Cydney Gillon (5.) and Heather Dees (6.) Six years ago in Columbus. Michele De Silva Pinto was the overall at Arnold Amateur in 2016 and earned an automatic invitation.

Defending champion If Paulino leads a field of 18 as she tries and becomes the first three-time champion in the Bikini International. Paulino also won Columbus in 2013. She is runner-up by 2016 Justine Munro und Janet Layugwho was third to be challenged a year ago.

In 2017, the Arnold Classic Men’s Physique und Women’s Physique International Competitions open again and do not require an invitation. However, the Men's Physique and Women's Physique competitors must have completed the top 10 in an IFBB Pro League competition in the past two years to be eligible in Columbus. More than 30 will compete in Arnold Classic Men's Physics and more than 40 will be in Women’s Physique International to compete including defensemen champ Brandon Hendrickson and Herbst Swansen.

The Arnold Classic 212, Fitness International, Figure International and Physique International will take place on Friday, March 3rd, 2017. While the Arnold Classic, Arnold Classic Men’s Physique and Bikini International will take place on Saturday March 4th, 2017 with prejudices and finals at Battelle Grand.
